Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy that involves one or more therapists working with several people at the same time. We offer small groups of three or four people, and larger groups of eight to twelve persons maximum. The group typically meets for sixty to ninety minutes, once or twice every week. Group therapy can be useful for depression, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social phobia, and substance abuse. Group therapy can help eliminate isolation, and foster feelings of success and accomplishment as each participant in the group shares their progress. Group modality is very affordable, and you can get more treatment for the same cost of one individual therapy intervention.
